Second Start Program

Supporting homeless and foster youth success in college.

Wesley House Student Residence knows the importance of a strong support system for students to succeed in college and at universities. Many homeless and foster youth lack the support they need for academic success. Our Second Start Program helps these students get off on the right foot with rent-free supportive student housing for their first year.

While staying at Wesley House’s affordable housing complex, Second Start participants will have access to:

• A food pantry;
• Financial management classes and support;
• Mentoring and tutoring;
• Job preparation workshops;
• Community events and support.
